The agent initially does not have any private keys. When the command dies, so does the agent. In the 2017-2018 academic year, SCP partnered with Skagit County and City of Stanwood. The -r option enables you to recursively copy entire directories. To delete a single key from the daemon, use the -d option. To list all keys that are stored in the daemon, use the -l option. For example, you might concurrently have DSA v2, RSA v2, and RSA v1 keys.
You can use ssh-add to add other keys to the daemon as well.
But eventually you may have access to a proxy server, from which you can access the desired server. Often you do not have direct access to a desired server, because a firewall blocks the port or you are on another network than the server.
